Can gravel be laid over my existing driveway?
We need to inspect the existing surface, base, levels and drainage first. Simply covering an unsuitable surface can leave problems unresolved. Your quotation will explain the preparation we recommend.
Is a gravel driveway suitable for a slope?
Loose stone can move on sloping ground and under turning vehicles. We assess the gradient and entrance before recommending a finish. A steep entrance or particular accessibility needs may make another surface more suitable.
Will water drain through the driveway?
A loose gravel surface can allow water through, but drainage depends on the complete construction and ground beneath it. We assess this during the survey. The surface alone does not guarantee that the finished driveway will be permeable.
Does gravel need maintenance?
Yes. Expect occasional raking or redistribution, clearing leaves and debris, weed control and returning displaced stones. The amount of care depends on the layout, traffic and surrounding conditions.
What is the difference between gravel and resin bound?
