Last updated: 6 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Irvine Surfacing collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us, request a quotation, use our customer services or become a customer.

Who we are

Irvine Surfacing is a trading name of Irvine Construction Ltd (company number 17033173). We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

You can contact us at info@irvine-surfacing.co.uk or by calling 0118 336 0065. Our business address is Unit 415, 105 London Street, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 4QD.

Information we collect

  • Your name and contact details, including email address, telephone number and postal address.
  • Property and project information, such as the site address, postcode, service required, photographs, files and details you provide about the proposed work.
  • Enquiry, quotation, appointment, contract, invoice and payment records.
  • Messages, emails, call notes and chatbot conversations connected with your enquiry or project.
  • Drop-kerb application information and correspondence where we manage an application on your behalf.
  • Technical information about use of our website, such as IP address, browser, device, pages visited and cookie preferences.

How we use your information

  • To respond to enquiries, arrange site visits and prepare quotations.
  • To provide, schedule and manage surfacing, driveway and dropped-kerb services.
  • To submit and administer council or highway-authority applications where you ask us to do so.
  • To manage customer records, appointments, quotations, invoices, payments, warranties and aftercare.
  • To keep our website, systems and customer information secure.
  • To understand website performance and improve our services.
  • To measure advertising and show relevant marketing where you have permitted non-essential cookies.
  • To comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.

Our lawful bases

We use personal information where it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract or to perform a contract with you; where we have a legal obligation; where it is in our legitimate interests to operate, improve and protect our business and respond to customers; or where you have given consent, including for optional cookies or marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Who we share information with

We share information only where it is reasonably necessary. Recipients may include website, email, CRM and cloud-storage providers; payment processors such as Stripe; analytics and advertising providers where permitted; councils and highway authorities; subcontractors and operatives involved in delivering work; professional advisers; and public authorities where required by law.

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use providers and safeguards intended to provide an appropriate level of protection under UK data-protection law.

Payments

Online payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy terms.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses essential cookies needed for it to operate. With your permission, it may also use analytics and advertising cookies to understand visits, measure enquiries and improve advertising. You can accept, reject or change non-essential cookie choices using the Cookie Preferences control on the website.

Facebook and Instagram advertising (Meta Pixel)

When you agree to both Marketing cookies and Meta advertising, we use the Meta Pixel to measure visits and successful enquiries, and to build audiences for relevant Irvine Surfacing adverts on Facebook and Instagram. Meta receives technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, the public page visited, cookie identifiers and an event indicating that an enquiry was successfully submitted. Meta may link this activity to your Facebook or Instagram account.

Our Pixel integration does not send the name, email address, telephone number, project address or message entered into an enquiry form. It uses an anonymous submission identifier to help avoid counting the same enquiry twice. Automatic advanced matching and server-side Conversions API sharing are not enabled.

Meta advertising cookies can include _fbp (browser identification) and _fbc (advertising click attribution). You can switch off either Marketing or Meta advertising at any time using the Cookie Preferences control. Withdrawing consent stops future Pixel events from this website; it does not undo information already sent while consent was given. You can also manage advertising preferences with Meta and remove stored cookies in your browser.

For details of Meta’s use of information, retention, international processing and your choices, see Meta’s Privacy Policy and Meta’s Cookies Policy.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including customer service, contractual, warranty, legal, tax and accounting requirements. Enquiries that do not proceed are reviewed and deleted when they are no longer needed. We may retain limited records where required to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Security

We use appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect personal information. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, but we limit access and take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised use, loss or disclosure.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information; object to certain processing; receive information in a portable format; and withdraw consent. The right to object applies particularly where we rely on legitimate interests or use information for direct marketing.

To exercise a right, email info@irvine-surfacing.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Complaints

Please contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint for more information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, systems or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
